The DEWALT DCM565N-XJ is an 18V XR compact cordless chainsaw for cutting logs, trimming branches, pruning timber and working on small to medium cutting jobs. It is suitable for garden work, landscaping, timber cutting and construction use where a petrol chainsaw or corded saw may not be practical.

The 30cm bar and chain gives useful cutting capacity while keeping the tool compact and easy to handle. Its brushless motor helps deliver efficient cordless performance, with up to 70 cuts per charge when used with an 18V XR 5Ah battery on 4x4 inch pressure-treated spruce.

Automatic oiling helps keep the chain lubricated during use, reducing maintenance while supporting smoother cutting. Tool-free bar fitment and chain tensioning also make adjustments quicker, without needing extra tools.

The variable speed trigger gives better control when starting and cutting, with no pull cord required. A chain speed of 7.68m/s provides strong cutting performance, while the chain brake stops in under 1 second for improved safety.

The extensive overmould handle and large auxiliary handle give a secure grip and better comfort during longer use. This tool-only model includes the 30cm bar and chain, but battery and charger are not included.
