The DEWALT DCP580N-XJ is an 18V XR brushless cordless planer for trimming, smoothing and shaping timber. It is suitable for joinery, carpentry, fitting doors, reducing timber thickness, chamfering edges and general workshop or site use.

The brushless motor provides efficient cordless performance and helps improve runtime compared with a similar brushed tool. As part of the DEWALT 18V XR cordless system, this planer works with compatible DEWALT XR batteries.

With an 82mm planing width and up to 2mm depth of cut in one pass, the DCP580N-XJ is designed for fast material removal and accurate finishing work. The fine adjustment dial uses 0.1mm increments, helping you set the cut depth more precisely for cleaner results.

The twin blade drum is fitted with tungsten carbide tipped reversible blades for a good quality finish. On-board blade storage helps keep spare blades close to hand, while the large front and rear shoes support stability during planing.

AirLock dust extraction compatibility allows the planer to connect securely to compatible DEWALT dust extractors, helping manage dust and keep the work area clearer.

This tool-only model includes TCT reversible blades, rebate fence, Torx key and blade alignment plate. Battery and charger are not included.
